Kerrville Festival of the Arts, in the Historic Downtown area, began in 2014 to continue the long standing tradition of a Memorial Day Fine Art event in Kerrville after the Official Texas State Arts and Crafts Fair ended in 2013.
Kerrville Festival of the Arts is a juried Fine Art Show and Sale open to artists residing anywhere in the United States. This is a 2-day, outdoor event and a pet friendly venue.
The Allen Arts Festival brings juried artists, children's activities, live music, entertainment and more.
The festival is held in the popular, resort-style venue, Watters Creek at Montgomery Farm, known for its restaurants, shops, and beautiful park-like setting. During the festival Watters Creek turns into an art-lover's mecca with artist booths lining the streets for the entire weekend with gallery-quality artwork. Beautiful artifacts in clay, digitial arts, drawings, fiber, glass, jewelry, leather, mixed media, paintings, metals, photography, sculptures and wood will be on display and for sale.
The festival is Saturday, May 2, 10 AM to 7 PM, and Sunday, May 3, 10 AM to 5 PM. Cottonwood Park is located at 1321 W. Belt Line Road, one block east of Coit Road in Richardson, TX. Parking and admission are free. The artists’ works are available for purchase, as are food and beverages, and some children’s events require a fee.
Now in its 45th year, the semi-annual Cottonwood Art Festival is a juried show. Jurors have selected over 240 artists from 800 submissions to exhibit their museum-quality work at the festival. The artists compete in 14 categories: 2D Mixed Media, 3D Mixed Media, Ceramics, Digital, Drawings/Pastels, Fiber, Glass, Jewelry, Leather, Metalwork, Painting, Photography, Sculpture and Wood. Rated as one of the top art festivals in the United States, the prestigious show is the premier fine art event in North Texas.
Cottonwood Art Festival is more than just the art. The festival also features top local bands performing the best in rock, country, jazz, blues, swing and folk. Check out the courtyard, sit in the shade by the lake, relax and enjoy the music. Spirits are also available in the courtyard.
